Eric McFadden Trio with Bernie Worrell PDF E-mail

Eric McFadden TrioLike protagonists from some epic western novel, Eric McFadden, James Whiton and Paulo Baldi, better known as the Eric McFadden Trio arrives on the jaded contemporary music scene preceded by anxious rumors and curious anticipation.

Unadulterated rock
Friday 9:45 – 11:00 PM
Park Stage

Veterans of celebrated underground and above ground bands including P-Funk All Stars, Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade, Stockholm Syndrome, Cake, Eric Burden and the Animals, Liar, Taarka, Eric McFadden Experience, Alien Lovestock and IZM, EMT’s sinister songs, vampiric vocals and flamenco-rock guitar improvisations have made them an icon along America's western seaboard.

Lest you dismiss the preceding as absurd hyperbole, consider the fact that Eric has performed and recorded with the lordly likes of Bo Diddley, the late Joe Strummer, Widespread Panic, psychobilly rocker The Reverend Horton Heat, blues troubadour Keb Mo', Rolling Stone Ron Wood, Primus kahuna Les Claypool, Tea Leaf Green and others. He was voted "Best Guitarist" by the New Mexico Weekly and "Guitarist of the Year" by San Francisco's Zero magazine.

In 2000, McFadden was recruited as a touring member of George Clinton's P-Funk All Stars. In 2000 Eric was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the P-Funk All Stars along with EMT’s “+1” special guest Bernie Worrell.

Bernie WorrellBernie Worrell first came to prominence as a founding member and Musical Director of Parliment/Funkadelic. The hits were many: "Flashlight", "Atomic Dog", "Aqua Boogie", "Red Hot Mama" are but a few of the songs he co-wrote, played and co-produced for Parliment/Funkadelic. After leaving Parliment/Funkadelic, Bernie resurfaced with the revamped Talking Heads for 12 years including the historic album and movie "Stop Making Sense". Today, Bernie continues to compose and perform for select artists as well as the television and movie industry.
