Playwriting Workshops for Teens

This year, YouthCity's Liberty Park Players and the Utah Arts Festival have partnered with the Salt Lake Acting Company to hold their first annual series of playwriting workshops for teens. With the help of Mike Dorrell, SLAC's resident dramaturg and playwright, the Liberty Park Writers refined their writing skills, each student developing an original one-act play. These plays will be presented in a series of staged readings at the Festival's Big Mouth Cafe. Please join us to hear these new young talents raise their voices in dramatic expression. Check the Literary Arts Schedule for times and come on down!

YouthCity's Liberty Park Players Present: It's All Greek To Me!

This year the Liberty Park Players shuck Shakespeare for some good, OLD fashioned Greek fun! We're taking on Sophocles' Oedipus Rex, the tragic tale of irreversible fate in which Oedipus is doomed to kill his father and marry his mother. (Eeew!) Join us for this hilarious romp through grotesque tragedy on the Big Mouth Cafe stage.
