The Word Ecstatic!

The Word Ecstatic encompasses the entire literary arts program which includes events at Festival. In partnership with the Salt Lake Community College’s Community Writing Center, Salt Lake City’s Youth City Program and the Salt Lake Acting Company, we are offering a variety of opportunities to take workshops, enter a writing competition, participate in a Poetry Slam or just enjoy readings from local authors and poets. We have two venues for our Literary Program – the Big Mouth Café Stage (located on the City & County grounds on the southeast quadrant) will host our poets, readings, and performances. The offices of the Community Writing Center, (located along the wall space of the Library) will feature workshops and readings as well as the starting line for the 2nd annual Wasatch IronPen writing competition.
