The 2007 Utah Arts Festival’s Performing Arts programs will surprise and entertain you, and will delight every one of your senses.

More than 95 musical groups and individual performers were selected from over 250 gifted applicants, making the selection harder than ever. The Utah Arts Festival coordinators and staff have worked hard to offer a huge variety of music, spoken word and street theater that will run from noon – 11:30 p.m. each day of the Festival.

From readings by the areas leading poets and authors in The Word Ecstatic (aka Community Writing Center) to the new writing competition, the Wasatch Ironpen, to the four-day Poetry Slam, the Literary Arts portion of the Festival is more exciting and robust than ever.

Street Theater will feature a huge range of exciting acts, from belly dancing to physical comedians, from fire dancing to flamenco. And the second annual Shakin’ Up Shakespeare performances will highlight great young YouthCity talent.

And new this year, check out hip hop culture through the fusion of classic break dancing and D.J. Abstract.

	Crescent Super Band w/ special Guest Brian Bromberg Festival Stage Saturday, June 23, 7:30-8:30 p.m. Organized in 2001 under the direction of founder, Caleb Chapman, and hosted by The Music School, the award-winning Crescent Super Band has frequently been hailed as the best high school-aged jazz band in the world.
	Remedy Motel Park Stage Saturday, June 23, 9:00 p.m. A musical retreat of rock/alt-country/Americana that inspires a lazy afternoon on your front porch with a cold beer and your best gal.
	Phillips, Grier & Flinner w/ special guest Herb Pedersen Festival Stage Saturday, June 23 9:45 p.m. Among today's finest acoustic instrumentalists.
	Kan’nal Amphitheater Stage Sunday, June 24, 9:45 p.m. Kan'Nal is an authentic Rock & Roll band. The sound is rock & roll infused with a primal tribal core. Tribal Psychedelic Rock.
	Preservation Hall Jazz Band Festival Stage Sunday, June 24, 9:45 p.m New Orleans Jazz from the legendary Preservation Hall, the venerable music venue located in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter.
	Kimberly Dark Big Mouth Café Stage Sunday, June 24, 9:00 p.m Kimberly Dark continues to work tirelessly on her abilities as a parent, poet, professor and raconteur.
