Ballet West

Thursday-Sunday, June 23-26, at 6:30pm, Festival Stage

It's been ten years since Ballet West graced a stage at the Utah Arts Festival. The Festival has spent the last three years working with Adam Sklute, the artistic director of Ballet West to reconfigure the Festival Stage to make it suitable for Ballet West dancers. With additional funding this year from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Festival is thrilled to feature a performance each evening by Ballet West.

The company will perform:

  • Fall Into Loving Arms, choreographed by Tom Mattingly
  • Chaconne – Grand Pas de Deux, choreographed by George Balanchine© The George Balanchine Trust
  • Don Quixote – Wedding Pas de Deux and Sawn Lake Pas de Deux, both choreographed by Marius Petipa
  • The Flames of Paris Pas de Deux, choreographed by Vasily Vainonen

Children's Dance Theatre

Saturday, June 25 at 5pm, Festival Stage

Utah's second oldest dance company, CDT is made up of dancers ages 8 to 18. The company performs Alice Through the Looking-Glass, a playful spin on Lewis Carroll's classic tale with creative choreography, an original score and exquisite costumes.

Repertory Dance Theatre

Sunday, June 26 at 5pm, Festival Stage

Repertory Dance Theater celebrates its 45th Anniversary at the Festival with a program called Snapshots choreographed by Zvi Gotheiner.
