Got Junk? The Kids Art Yard can use it!

Every Year, the Utah Arts Festival's Kids Art Yard is always a magical space where kids of all ages paint community sculptures that represent a theme to help us have fun being more informed and aware of issues, while also getting our hands dirty (literally).

Our Queen-of-the-Art-Yard-in-Residence, Maggie, upcycles most of what you see on-site, bringing various bound for the dump items to life. Who remembers the bison from the Great Salt Lake Year, or the polar bear from Frozen Spaces? This year's theme is Rivers & Streams, so you know there will be some fish and fun wildlife who depend on water in the Art Yard this year.

If you've got any of these items for the Kids Art Yard, email artyard@uaf.org for details on where to drop off your useable soon-to-be-upcycled junk!
